Have you got the engine started yet? Or is the wiring scaring you still

I’m on my last body panel pattern then I can start wiring and plumbing.

Dun think I’ll be starting the engine as it’s gonna get stripped apart for a rebuild, but if I can get it turning over and firing that’s a start.

Correctamundo!!

Jesse’s 13b needs to get the back end off his engine.

Make shift flywheel locker .... a piece of drilled flat and a bolt in roll cage bracket as a washer

A 17 stone bearded man stood on the engine stand to stop it wheelieing.

We didn’t have a 1” drive impact drive to give it the “ugger-duggas” so mechanical advantage won with brute force n ignorance

So in case you all thought I died. I’m still lurking

But not doing anything exciting

Making inner wheel arch liners to keep the crap out the engine bay from the tyres

Oh and a little trick I learned from reading a book written by Adrian newey where he cheated or shall I say found a loophole in the regulations of formula 1 which did wonders for preventing turbulent air from the front wheels going down the underside of the car.

So in simplest terms it’s a 1” angle iron hanging down but curved outwards and made from grp in case I bottom out, I can make a new one from the moulds and I won’t bore you all with vortex’s

No idea if I will see any benefit from it, but as mr Tesco says...... every little helps

If we’re on about his auto biography It’s a good read, took it on holiday earlier this year and blitzed it in 3 days.

He’s quite a character, I think I’d like him if I ever met him in person.

He told an hilarious story about Nigel mansel when there was strong rivalry with team mates. I think it was Jean alesi, and as a team they should share data, Nigel used to come back into the pits and turn all his suspension settings from the cockpit all over the place knowing that jean alesi’s team would copy the settings lol.

Adrian even swapped the whole stock of suspension springs in the garage for ones that wouldn’t work so the other team used them.

He’s not up himself like that Louis Hammersmith driver fella
