Is there a way of making the solenoids for vdi/ssv last longer? Thinking of trying to vent the bonnet or engine bay some how.
Had a few blips today on the way to Prescott Hill climb.
Then on the way back, the SAP solenoid kept illuminating the CEL. Low circuit /Heat failure.
I've zero'd that code out now on mazda edit.

Also had a momentary drop in power for a split second and then it resumed normal service.

Good news... The replacement rack solved the knocking noise. I ordered a rack from Charles trent off ebay and it turned up damaged sent them an email complaining and they refunded me straight away. All I had to do was swap the steering angle sensor over and it was fine!

Idle was going crazy earlier. Kept dropping and nearly cutting out. Engine management light lit briefly on each occasion but went out.
Need to plug in diagnostics.
I've added an extra earth on incase earth was dodgy

No fault code with the issue I had yesterday.

Also made progress on the engine mounts. Opened up the mounting holes to slide the mount forward a bit.
Filled them with polyurethane.
Results were good.
The engine is pulling on the mounts about 10-12mm less now. I can't modify the ppf holes as I would lose all travel on the gearstick. The gear turret would also foul the chassis

Some pics for you all

Engine feels a lot more solid now... Stating the obvious. Doesn't feel like it's flopping about as much
