Nice easy fix on fuel sender I hope. I just need to get rid of green/white cable and keep black /brown and red /blue. Red/blue cable needs to spliced into 2 to give false reading for "sub" fuel sender

Fan wiring connectors are almost a straight swap. Just got to unpig connectors and swap plug over. Pretty much a straight swap!

Steering column is identical to rx8 along with the connectors for stalks/key barrel etc
Swapped bits over so I could keep mx5 key working.

Still waiting for alloy pipe for air filter to turn up. This one turned up by error 100mm dia x 100mm length. Not 90mm by 1M...thanks ASH.
hopefully replacement on its way.

Still waiting for alloy pipe to turn up right. Wrong size delivered yet again. Right diameter wrong length.
I've plugged the second loom in for the dash and everything marries up ish.
Got to relocate window switch now.

Has anyone got a photo of the plug on the hazard light switch?

Still making good progress. Bit of a milestone today with powering things up :)
Only things I've buggered up so far are wiper setting 1 & 2 are wrong way round.
Boot popper doesn't work. Think I know what it is.
But fog lights work, indicators work, side lights work. Wipers work. Not sure if fuel gauge is displaying correctly.

Figured out the boot popper issue. Forgotten where I've placed the cancel switch. Just going to join the wires.

Also another over sight is the dipped beam bulbs. Rx8 is HID's. Luckily all it involves is removing the W/B and P/W wires from the grey plug and splice them into the mx5 plugs and run new earth cables. Bit of a ball ache removing the loom again but want to keep it neat.
The pics show what the wiring differences are

Boot popper works, "deleted" the boot popper cancel switch.
Central locking now works also - blown room fuse.
Windows work
Hazards work
Mirrors work

Only thing I need to look into now is the heater controls. Mx5 and rx8 are a bit different in how they work. Probably going to need to use mx5 setup and splice cables in

Brake light now work after a crossed wire.
Also the reverse light works, gearbox is filled with oil and selector is bolted down.
Interior light issue sorted.
Wiper issue sorted.
Nearly there
