Oh, I forgot to tell you about ecu. For several reasons, I choosed Adaptronic. Aston gave me good price with that Greddy elbow. So cheers mate!  :great:

However, new ecu took big chunk of my build budget. So I have to use some used parts, cant go all out with new ones. Still, with lower budget, I reckon I can do good, solid, reliable engine. I have done lots of research...

But that budget forces me to use lots of OEM stuff like, apexes. My friend can order stuff directly from US, so that saves me some money. Unbelievable how much stuff costs, like exhaust gasket. Using stuff like FD oil regulator, saves some money and still are reliable...

With Adaptronic, I reckon I can really push engine far if needed. It has massive amounts of features that will monitor that engine will be safe. Like lambda feature with good lambda sensor and gauge...

One of my friend here has similar Adaptronic fitted in -99 RS FD. And it gives me faith to use his experience to really exploid that ecu´s features...  ::)

Happy New Year to all!

Well, this year was shite. I reckon that things only can better from now. We lost mother, fatherinlaw, and bros Roto the Dog (at picture)...

Still, year had some bright moments. For that I want to thank you family, friends, coworkers, RallyCrossers, #rotarygaragefin crew and you guys in MRC!

Although year started like disaster, that unbelievable bad thing made possible to pursuit my dreams and get my dream car. So, irony I quess, mom for a dream. Feels like shit and hard to say that, buts thats basically it. Miss her like hell tho...

In Rallycross,  this year supposed to be my and bro's year off, Janne wasnt racing. But in spring, our friend Olli with Fiat 1/9 asked us to join to his grew for a season. So, love for this sport, we went with him. Year that supposed to be out year off, was actually longest and hardest we ever had! In first half of season, Olli and Fiat was super fast and me managed to get good points. Problems started in mid season, and after that, basically no points and just crew under the car all the time. Howerer,  after lots of work, pain, beer and curses, Olli managed to be champion in FinRX series and 10th in National Championship. So all that hard work paid of, and racing year ended with confused, tired but happy filings...

For rotor year 2019, our friend Tuomas got 13B PP for his Datsun Finn. Tuomas is amazing driver with good car. But previous season he had bad luck. Now, in season 2019 me and bro support him anyway we can to get him that biggest medal. He has every possibility to get it, cause now he hasent got that crappy Duratec Actually we helped him to get that rotary...

All my energy in winter goes to get my beautifull car to run. And when se runs,  hopefyllu she doesent kill me... dunno about rallycross season at this point...  And dunno if I can join you guys in RotaryStock in Netherlands. I really hope so tho...

Cheers
Japi

So, went to see our rotary guru yesterday...

We desided to use my HP Renny bearings and LP Renny E shaft...

Today I was inspecting differences between different gearings. Suddenly I found this from my FC little bearing (pic 3) Worn out...

Rotors are in really good condition... (pic 1)

Housings, well rear housing has some hopping marks and  housings edge is abit shattered. Howerer, we desided to use it, its not that bad... And at the moment housing are expensive... (pic 2)

Also, we had long chat about those ports. I think I have a good plan now. Basically:
-modified Pineapple Racing race exhaust port with more agressive opening and and wider port
- Secondary port Pineapple Racing race Semi Bridge port with wider full leght "eyebrow"
-Stock smoothed primary with +2mm later and +2mm curved edge closing

Yes Sir. Im quite happy with progress so far. Cleaning parts isnt my thing, Im too perfectionist for that job...

But I really enjoy doing ports for some reason...

Howerer,  for this car, I will put absolutely everything I got. Money, time, effort, knowledge...

Todays progress...  Well, one step forward, two steps back... Purchased metallic red paint that suppose to suit this. No, paint was absolute shit. I have to strip that red paint off, somehow...

Spent my day to shine those housings. Not enough shiny, but getting there...

Also, just got those Pineapple templates...

Should I go with ported primary?  Thats quite big

Secondarys will be quite...nice

But that exhaust looks weird. Very, how I would say, "low"...? Opens really really early and close very fast...

That's, going to be quite serious porting and yes they have altered the port timing.

p.s. little tip, don't forget to put a small chamfer  (bevel) around the entrance of each port when your finished porting.

Yes sir. That primary is quite massive compared to S5 stock port, but not too big compared to FDs...

Im not sure yet do I go for THAT size. I will open that ports closing, but outwards and opening, I dont know. Im adraid that it affect too much to idle and cruising..

Well,  I have done my homework and studying. My port isnt going to be so big that side seal will drop and brake. Howerer,  I will do those edges. But thanks for reminder

So, seems like I cant balance my internals. Guys balancing machine broke...

Anyhoo, bigger problem is that when I cleaned my rotors, all my markings vanished. So I cant really tell which rotor is rear rotor. I quess its that heavier one? If I remember correctly...

Also, does it matter in what direction I put those rotors in?
