Red FD Spotted at 6.30 this morning, northbound side of th M23,
on hard shoulder, huge engine fire. Fire fighters just arriving.
Hoping the driver/passengers got out ok.

Oh not good...reminder to us all under the uim is a haven for fuel leaks and fires and oil leaks under a hot fd bonnet...when i had a bad fuel leak i panicked like hell...shut the car down and ran for the garden hose.
I always pre drive start the car and look underneath now for leaking fluids and yep i have a handheld fire extinguisher in the car.

Really sorry to see this post but as you say let's hope they got out OK.

We had a car with us a couple of years ago and initially the girlfriend couldn't get her boyfriend out of the car as shock had set in, we literally shouted at him before he got out and sadly the whole car went  up  ???

Assuming its the same FD everyone was safe but car is in a bit of a sad state
