Where the wheels on s3 diamond cut originally? 4 x114.3 pcd?


For 1978-1983 models is 4 x 110 and 1984-85 4 x 114.3!!!

Just sold a set of 4x114.3 16" Advan SA3Rs... would have looked super cool on there

Got a clutch now...wierd try and explain later...starter motor out..2 positions where out and outer...clutch fork engaged too far....anyways in rest position cant turn engine over and push clutch in you can..bit of ahead scratcher..rx8 slave inards atmo...

Well i wrestled with exhaust...this header joiner rotten...fitted new pipe i had made...rather tight...nice new clamps nice n tight.
Then i flooded it...jump pack flat...nearly caught...by the time id got shogun hooked up with leads just churning fuel....deflood and new plugs fired straight up running loud at 1500rpm ...massive blow from new pipe cant get any tighter and i suspect middle silencer ....then died as ive run outta fuel....so cant confirm whether fixed clutch..theres always tomorrow. Not sure what todo with exhaust...
Get some fuel and drive into garage tomoz fingers x  just not feeling a new project atmo.

Got a clutch...and a handbrake which is handy  as if i touch brake pedal brakes will lock on.
In the garage...just..gonna be a squeeze here...
Well with fuel battery n jumppack charged fired right up...drove in reverse and forward..into garage...
Exhaust has slight blow from my repair ...but its frikin loud..maybe unseen blow from collector...unsure why its brappin..vid to follow.

Quite normal for S3 with headers. Mine will brap away happily when it's on choke.

Are you using choke in that vid or just the idle speed turned up?  Either way, it's running very rich.

Keep the header if it's still useable because it has already freed up a few horsepowers. and ditch all of the emissions stuff. That entire rats nest can go. The only vac hoses you need are the two for vac advance on the distributor.

The car will run fine without all the emissions rubbish so long as you plug all the vac sources.

And speaking of emissions, the MOT inspection manual (Section 7.3 Exhaust Emissions) states .' ....Wankel rotary engined vehicles first used before 1st Aug 1987 are to be considesed first used before 1st Aug 1975' which means subject to visual test only when it comes around to MOT time.

No choke at all and running at 1500rpm...albeit with blow at header end..
 suspect vacuum leaks fair few pipes crudly plugged around air cleaner and carb...its loud...brap brap brap. Theres no flange at either header end or start of centre sections and prior clamps real tight that has ovalised, absolute pig to get the new reducer pipe on and the headers back on the studs...will need a bit more work possibly a flexi...
Happy i got a clutch and dont have to take the box out.
Thanks was expecting abit loud and raw but its blimin loud lol.When i viewed it was quite quiet think the jouney home on trailer disturbed something. Need togo though these plugged pipes.
Got my head in the manual now.

If you are re using that old gasket, make sure that the header completely covers the two small emissions ports at the bottom otherwise you will never get the header to seal.
Ideally, order the gasket with no emissions port holes then you will get complete coverage. Not sure of the part number but available from RockAuto.

Thanks! I reused old in short term just trying to get quiet and a clutch so can be moved in / out of garage to work on and get my trailer out. Theres no blow at that flange atmo...used abit of gum gum for know...assembling a parts list! Caliper rebuild kit too..

Any help pointers greatly appreciated..know my way around a rx8 and FD...there was a time when i didnt...but i know nothing about an FB...great the manuals exist...

Another device which is not really needed as it's more emissions related. A lot of them become inoperarative anyway due to shorting out. They are wired in an odd way to the starter solenoid.

Still, if yours is working then leave it alone until it dies a natural death.

I can confirm the hot start motor is not needed as the wire to the starter motor became disconnected and I've not reconnected it. Engine starts fine when hot and cold.

This is the only vacuum stuff left on KIMI 2 and might help?

Video sound is much more brappy than mine. Can't really tell how loud it is, but if you had to shut it off because you though it was too loud then that isn't normal.

KIMI 2 will sit at 1500rpm on choke, but happy at 800rpm when warm. She won't start at all when cold without at least 3/4 choke, so yours must be running far too rich.
