We're kind of in the hands of the gods....
Theres no cure for Transverse Myelitis, it all boils down to mother nature taking its course and we can just cross our fingers she makes a full recovery.
She can walk without crutches now, and go up and down stairs unaided. But still has limited to no sensation from the waist down and has spasms in her legs. Some days are better than others. Some days she cant even feel shes got clothes on. She does her shoes up so tight because she cant tell if they are falling off, then when we get home they have cut into her feet but she cant tell.
But you can imagine if she drives a conventional car and has a spasm, what carnage that could mean, she doesnt want to take the risk.
Shes still pumping the steriods into her which is getting her down as shes ballooning up from that.
Got a meeting with the neurologist on 10th Oct so we have lots of Q?
You're all too aware of the frustrations associated with a medical condition. All i can do is be there to support her, but most days I just feel like a spare p***k.
Glad Ive got a decent hobby to take my mind off all the crap.
