Any MOT testers on here
« on: January 17, 2018, 11:01:35 PM »
Looking for some info regarding the MOT Test:-

Sons MG ZR is a 2 door and the drivers seat release has broken and the seat cannot be tilted forward.
Now this is the devils own job to do and the parts are not available off the shelf, so we can't fix it before the MOT is due

SO my question is this:-
Is the testing of the Seat release mechanism part of the MOT?
Looking online it appears not to be tested

Certainly on LGV's all seat operation tilt and slide is now a testable item as of last year.

He said. The seat has to slide back and forth in the rail but the tilt function is not part of not test.
