RX3 coupe at Simply Japanese, Beaulieu

I had every intention of taking a lot of pics but got slightly distracted   :oops:   I had just papped a Mitsubishi Sapporo and then went all peculiar having been confronted by this   :love4:


Just sitting under a tree, minding it's own business and being largely ignored!

Started life with a 10a heart


Now has 12a turbo and gearbox from a HB Cosmo












Teleported over to our shared stand and an appreciative audience




The owner has a really interesting background, having worked at Elford Engineering, served a Mazda apprenticeship and worked alongside a certain Tim White.

There's some decent work has gone into that. those flared arches, all steel!  Jaw dropping as you say Clive   :13:

I didn't manage to speak to Chris at Castle Combe when he showed his RX-3, so really pleased to be able to spend some time chatting to him at Beaulieu on Sunday. His car is simply stunning and I was glad to be able to broker a deal with the  Beaulieu safety staff for him to relocate to a better position on the RX-8 OC stand where his car attracted more passing traffic. His car seemed to have people around it for the rest of the day, rightly so!

Surprised, and pleased, to see Linas turn up from the IOW with his FD. Managed to get him onto the RX-8 OC stand too, so we had an RX-3, 1st and 3rd Gen RX-7's and RX-8's to display to the crowds.



Twas a great day out, weather fine in company of a fine crowd of Mazda Rotary enthusiasts  :13:

RX3 is stunning the arches are just made for her :) are they 15 in wheels or larger?
