New FD3S owner in Norfolk
« on: December 20, 2016, 08:45:44 PM »
Evening All
I'm Bex, I'm new to the rotary scene.
I have always dreamed of getting an RX-7 and now I have finally purchased one.
I (with a lot of help for Newera Imports) have gotten a 1996 FD3S type R Bathurst in white.
She's pretty stock, only a mazda speed exhaust and a set of work vs xx alloys. Genuine 46000 miles from new and full Mazda history.
Currently waiting for her to come over from Japan, but looking forward to her arrival and getting out and about next year.

Bex

Thank you for the warm welcome.
Looking forward to getting to drive her when she arrives.
Would be interested in meets and shows if people are going, be nice to speak to some like minded people.

Wow, really nice looking FD!  :P But ride height seems to be for country roads ;)
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Funny you should mention that, I have managed to get a deal on a set of ohlin coilovers to be fitted before she leave Japan, which should correct the tractor look lol ;)

What i would say is the suspension struts they remove id ask for them to be kept with the car for you....several years down the road all the standard parts will add to the value.  8)

Excellent news Bex  :13:

Why not take the opportunity to take a run down to Brands Hatch for Tunerfest on Sunday 25th June? Not too far from you in Norfolk  :)

You'll get some idea of the event from this thread over on the RX-8 OC:

http://www.rx8ownersclub.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=101&t=72803

Tickets are available for just £15 here:

http://shop.rx8oc.co.uk/Tunerfest_South_2017_-_Entry_ticket/p664353_15762872.aspx

We are joining up with the RX-8 Owners Club for this event for a joint Club Stand. Our Stand area is expected to be just off to the side of Paddock Hill, on hard standing with an excellent view of the Track action. We have a Track Session exclusive to just Mazda Rotaries and also an RX-8 competing in the Time Attack event on the day (Pete Hewson, the driver, is currently leading in the "Clubman" Class).

Simply mention you are an MRC member in the comments box if you do purchase a ticket - don't wait too long though as the RX-8 OC guys will be purchasing all the passes shortly. Just be prepared for your car to be drooled over by the rotary enthusiasts on the Stand  ;)
