New, LOWER, Club Membership Rates!
« on: April 25, 2016, 03:18:08 PM »
We’ve been running the new MRC forum for around 18 months now, so I hope you’ve got used to the new, fresher layout  :)

There have been two major advantages resulting from the change; lower forum running costs (hosting account, licensing fees, etc), plus much a much more robust forum software platform. We are therefore very pleased to be able to offer a significant reduction in Club membership fees, as follows, effective immediately:

Current (single member) renewal fee - £25
Revised (single member) renewal fee - £15

Current (Family) renewal fee - £30
Revised (Family) renewal fee - £20

As a quick reminder, the benefits of Full Membership include:

•         Agreed insurance valuations offered by the club to assure your vehicle retains its correct value in the event of a total loss.
•         Specially negotiated rates with participating suppliers
•         Discount when taking out new AA breakdown cover
•         Subsidised prices to events
•         Subsidised prices to MRC Christmas Party
•         Access to the "Members Only" section on the Forum and ability to privately mail (PM) other members on the forum
•         Fully being part of one of the Largest Rotary Communities in Europe

Your continued Full Membership of the forum will help guarantee the ongoing existence of the Club, so enabling the forum to develop and for us to provide stands at various events. Last year we hosted a highly successful stand at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon. If you missed it, here’s a link to the thread

We will be looking to host something similar again in 2016. In the meantime, we can confirm we will have a club presence at Japday (Castle Combe) next month. If you haven’t already put your name down to come along and meet up with like-minded rotary enthusiasts, then you will find full details on the forum. However, we view the Club as more than the forum, so hope you can make it to at an event in 2016 and look forward to seeing you in person.

If you are currently a Full Club Member you should have received an email at the beginning of this month (April) explaining the changes and how it affected your membership. Thank you to all those members who have responded and those whose have renewed their lapsed memberships already.

If you are a Full Club Member, but did not recieve our email about membership fee change PLEASE CHECK YOUR MEMBERSHIP EXPIRY DATE as follows:

Click on "Profile" on the grey bar at the top of the page, then click on "Actions" and "Paid subscriptions".
Scroll to the foot of the page and check the "End Date" of your subscription.

If the "End Date" is earlier than 25 April 2016 then your subscription has lapsed, even though it may show as "Active" and you have the full benefits of membership. Due to a software glitch, your membership did not automatically revert to "Guest" status and you may not have received an email reminder to renew.

If your subscription has lapsed, please RENEW BY 30 APRIL as, at that date, we will manually revert all lapsed Memberships back to "Guest" status.

We hope the new, lower fees will enable to to support the club and allow us to continue to host the massive amount of information contained on the 57,000+ topics contained on the forum.

Thank you
The MRC Team

I thought it was value for money before this change 8) this can only keep existing members and entice new members from other areas and clubs that don't give value for money, as we are all checking the penny,s these days.....

well done to all involved with the Admin five stars  :13: :13: :13:
