Well been out for a blast in her today the bloody rev clock and speedo stopped working grrrrr and the revs were up and down while in gear at traffic lights but as soon as I dropped it into neutral the revs settled ? Is this what you had with the clutch switch Boosted?

Mine was different mate...i was dieing at junctions when putting the clutch in.
The clutch swith is on the end of the pedal and when you put the clutch in it lets the plunger out and switches....brings up the revs 100 to 150 rpm. Sounds like your throttle stop is wound in to far...warm in neutral with clutch out aim for about 950rpm...if you wind in to far it will start to hunt as your cracking the throttle butterflys open and the idle air control valve then fights that by trying to control throttle by opening and shutting....hence the hunting. You want a tiny bit of slack on the throttle cable as well. I wouldnt mess with the throttle position sensor until checked everything else it looks a pita to set up. It in the technical manual.
Dash yeah pain in arse...ive just swapped mine...theres some tiny 3mm screws on back...they work loose...i tightened them up b4 swapping over seems ok atmo. But the fact youve lost mph as well as rpm ...ib be looking at an earth or power first. Good luck.

the technical manuals are on here and all over the web....good idea to print them off into a lever arch folder....the section on the thottle body is great explains all the bolt on bits and pieces and how its needs to be set up.

Well I was sorting the Coolant issue last night and it seems when I put the pipes back on and reconnected the battery my rev and speedo have come back to life, not really sure what is going on there but I aint going to complain will have a look at the connections on the back of the clocks when I wire up the boost gauge.
On that note has anybody got any advice on the easiest way to route it from the engine bay? looks easy enough and I think I am going to pillar mount it.
