Yep tp camber arms skunk 1s...its got loads of branded parts onit...
Not to impressed with the yellow speed coilovers that are all the civic go to coilovers..undoing the 12mm bolt holding the  brake hose and abs sensor bracket sheared off...
Got the mig out and welded it on the strut  proper..look like 0.5mm spot weld.
Started at 9am 2.5 brakes done. New braided hose discs and pads...blimin slow progress...brake lines to hoses just wouldnt come undone...blow torch got em in the end.
Trying to get a track day in b4 weather proper turns..hopefully finished fri/sat.
New exhaust done and secure 90dB so Thruxton proof but no where is taking bookings so mustve closed for year..doh.
Fun little car i can abuse.
Once Westy goes i can start on FD...little trip to Rx motors for a comp test and chat me thinks...

Nice set up

Always good to have the ability of fine tuning if you need it

You gone more hard core brakes after your last session or were the originals on their last legs?
Its just Rotors and GRP

Im trying to keep it low budget but yes gone all out on standard brakes..new braided lines, civic cup discs and pads front and rear. I really detest single sided calipers and sliders allways a pain in the arse but deep clean of everything and regrease. Added some preload to front coilovers as had none..
Thicker rear arb on list...sump baffle as i intend to put it on slicks.Alignment check as lot of camber up front trashing front tyres. Then thrash it 10/10.
Prob have for a year b4 selling on. Gives me track car and when Westy sells time and cash for FD.

Sounds good jon. I would have thought you would be very close to your Combe personal best on slicks?? Providing there are no elan and x5 drivers on the day.

When you write it like that, it just reiterates how quick the westy is. The 7 and the civic are not slow cars. But 4 secs a lap quicker than the 7 .... jeeez

But its like a superbike, you need to be going quick to get the enjoyment.
On an out or cool down lap in Westy prob doing 1.24s its lapping it up easy...i think its the on the limit feeling i like whether a bike car or wheel barrow lol.

Lol I can’t say I agree coz I’ve not done a lap yet, but I can understand what you mean but I think pushing a wheel barrow albeit amusing is not what I’d call on the limit. If I was pushing it, I’d be on the limit of keeling over haha

Sounds like you have a good car plan/strategy Jon  :great:

I hope you get a decent price for Westy. I'm guessing not too many people will be interested at this time of the year? Maybe interest will pick up early 2020 when people are looking towards near year's track season?

Fired the ol girl up today and done a comp test on rear rotor....
 Valve in 4.5 bar.
Valve out 3bar that ll be the stalling at idle.
She still starts up mega hot or cold...1 sec max...
I really wanna get in garage to pull the motor but no room....
Storage for Westy not suitable...its not sealed i suspect rats n mice will make it there home with dire consequences for me.
