Been a fun few days went to Merlin Motorsport and Pirtex...and i have gione big breather set up...2 Litre OBQ catch can vented 1/2in pipe long up and out bonnet vent so if it chucks oil on my windscreen i know to go in the pits...it aint going underneath the car now...ran both 1/4 nipples out of filler neck ( drilled out big) to small catch tank then fed via 1/2in nipple onto 1/2 pipe back across strut brace into OBQ tank...Then 90 1/2 swivel Nipple from filler cap to OBQ cap so gert big venting...these rise from filler neck before dropping into catch tank the only place i could find for the big tank...there is a metre of pipe from the vent and about 3 metres in the routing....Idea being hopefully big enough vents now that the oil cant be carried but if it does there big enough reservoirs to catch it all....1 eye will be on the defi Oil pressure gauge!!!!
Pela pump and & 7 litres of oil in the back of the shogun....Fd is set on half way in dipstick....zero smoke from exhaust...underneath cleaned again of all oil....Foam like Clives in filler neck to act as oil seperator.....time will tell....aint getting cleaned....
90deg elbow means i have to undue StrutBrace to get oil filler cap off :violent1:
Brad the apprenctice is coming..hes oil pressure watcher....hope he likes my wheels....
roll on saturday...
no return to front plate or sump just not enough time back on shift tomoz...if this dont work we burn any car!!!

You can get a turbo to do exactly what you want, to match the twins and give more hp if you needed.

As we've chatted before it's an expense but worth the investment in my eyes.

I bet you could stay out on track longer with a single tub.

With a single tub you could use a combination of parts to make the turbo do what you want. I reckon a bwsx200 would be good for 300hp using a larger turbine housing to give you more top end but also spool really quick, however if a bs366 can give you 10psi by 3500 rpm your onto a winner. They're cheap too. That turbo is capable of near 650hp on a rotary.

New oils tank looks good

Jon, 90dba is possible with a re-packable rear silencer. I had my FD system custom made to produce 95dba (mid silencer and re-packable rear).
That had a 4" down pipe which contributed to the noise a little.
Your 'big' oil venting system will work. It's similar to the system I ended up with, 1/2" elbow from top of oil filler cap using 1/2" pipe to a 1litre vented tank. One of the lower original outlet in the filler neck using 10mm pipe went to the same vented tank and the second original filler neck outlet using 10mm pipe went to a 1/2 litre vented tank.
Ran this at various track sessions with no oil in either tank. I used clear pipe from the 1/2" elbow and had no visible oil residue.

Good luck

only car to overtake me all day...being smooth then nah f45k it try and stay with...lol.

well good day in general...summarise no oil smoke but pushed out 2.5L in total throughout day so about 200 to 250ml per session.

Had some understeer issues on and off...tyre pressures checked and all ok then preflight checks in pits found front left flat....the bead had broken on the rim again and elecy pump no chance to seal up....so stuck the front road tyres on Avon Zv5'sss hilariously dangerous....locking on brakes and massive understeer so retired for the day about 3.30 and watched.

Catch tank set up needs some work but happy..

new tyres time?

well had the 888 taken of the rim on the front and the tyre bead is chewed up so that tyre is dead....LOL...well time to fit 4 new 1 little confession...ive been using the 888s that came with the car....ahem....very old and cracked and dried out but im cheap....

so i have Clives rear A048s 265 35 18s to fit on the rear..(hopefully they dont rub as my arches are rolled) but i need to chose some fronts...A048s are out of the question...too much and not readily available...so its Ad08rs or r888r...but which do i go for....i wnat the better tbh and when the rears wear out ill match then....currently 225/40/18 on front will 235/40/18 fit? front lips are not rolled...

Jon, I ran 235/40 18 front R888 and 275/35 18 rears R888. Arches were rolled, but the 235 fitted without rolling arches. Cannot remember the offset as that will influence tyre position in the arch.
