Interesting sums....on 888s both the fd and Westy are 1.19/1.20 clear track lap times....so fd on slicks could be 1.17....
The 1 with the biggest potential to hit my 1.14 target is the fd!

Not tried slicks on the FD, but thought they may deliver more than 0.2 compared to R888. Are those numbers based on your experience Jon, or a conservative estimate ?

On the westy the slicks and only 4 sessions b4 stacking it best lap i got was 1.17....and trying...888s similiar track condition but now with the resurface 1.19....some dodgy timing off youtube though by pausing at a particular point and then finding that particular point 1 clear lap forward...seems the slicks on the westy give 1 to 2 secs.  18 months maybe 2 years back with the Bridge on 888s i was doing 1.19s recently at Coombe this year with the old engine i got the same on 888s...but ive maybe got a little more accustomed to car and resurface .....defo no b4 resurface a little car like the westy bounced about all over the place....
All variable and inconsistent data.
Anyways not so sure now 2 secs a lap seems about right.

Just out of interest ive been looking at old vids of the Ma5da racing I used to do.  I think we were lapping around 1:25 ish on a good day! bloody quick considering we had 120 horsepower and used road tyres.

Have looked at your vids and got extremely jealous though. I wish I could go back and have the money and space to do what youve done with her!

Im really glad your enjoying it. Envious too.

An observation: going on track with other rotary nutters heavily premixing....makes your car dirty everywhere...its like black dust? Never noticed on other track sessions.......

Well today ive stripped the rear brakes down and found no binds. Pads 35% worn...and worn very even....all wire brushed and lubed up....no issues other than they look like theyve had a pasting...ive removed the dust shields for better air circulation. So no fault found....cant blame slight off on brakes....

Nice one Jon - three glimpses of RX's at 36s, 1m18s and 1m32s - more than we usually get on Japfest videos in the past  :)

I've embedded you video as it looks nicer that way  ;) (just needed to remove the "s" from "https" in the link and use the "youtube" marker from the posting menu) ;)
