If you find the 200K + to build it, I will drive it for you   ;)

Here's a CAD challenge, with my car drawn in CAD I wonder if there's a program that could simulate air flow over and under ??
Again and again we have wondered about sticking pieces of wool over the car and doing a track day to see what is really going on with the car.

I know the rear diffuser works because overtaking an RX-8 around Quarry on the dirty side, the guiy came up to me to tell me that the diffuser was sucking up dirt and rubbish as I went by  :great:

Here's a piece of useless information
Reading an old Motor Sport yesterday, it turns out that Frank Dernie was the first person to use CAD in F1

There is, I think its called CFD, Computational Fluid Dynamics

There is lots of options, but I dont have that simulation software.

This guy uses scale models ( he has an RX7 in this episode)

Hes a complete dork, but the vid is very interesting in how he simulates flow and how the different shapes create different effects.

He may have a scale model of the Rx8 lol

If you find the 200K + to build it, I will drive it for you   ;)

Why 200K?

I wouldnt put a 4 rotor in, Id keep it simple, a NA PP 13b or a turbo'd REW.

Do what RE Amemiya did and hook that up to a Subaru Legacy gearbox, remove the tailshaft and use the output flanges that drive the front wheels on the subaru to drive the rear wheels.

So a mid engine 13b with a transaxle gearbox for literally pennies.

The RX8 suspension is tried and tested and known for being a good set up, so id nick that again like on the rotus.

I can build the chassis no problem and im confident now that I could build a complete car from home made moulds, could be a combo of GRP and maybe try carbon fibre.

Id have to polycarb all the windows, but im doing that on the rotus so that can be my dummy run.

As they say, every day is a school day.

Id still let you have a drive tho Clive. lol
