Always liked these, right back to when I was a kid doing pre-delivery inspections on new ones, mind you, they did't quite look like this  ;)

Nice... Not sure about that color thought, but I do like those station wagons too. :)

Btw Clive, one dude contacted me asking:
-how long did you hunt your car and how long you builded it?
-how many RX-2´s, 3´s, 4´s is in UK?
-and in Europe?

As far as we know, mine is the only one actively used in the UK and Kees thinks maybe in Europe at present,  but there are 5 others that I know of sadly various states of disrepair requiring work.

Next year there will be another stock series 2 13B one in from Australia needing work, the guy is really serious and looks like he will be paying around 12 / 13K to own one that needs work.

I met him when the car was on show a couple of weeks back, turns out he has full blown trailer queen Fords (he had one on the Meguires stand) but he is so smitten with the RX-4 from seeing it last year he is prepared to let one of is Fords go.

My RX-4 took many many years to find after falling in love as a 15 year old kid working at a Mazda dealership as an apprentice,

The car was a lucky find due to a chance conversation with an ex works Mazda Rally driver who still had his departed Dads RX-4 hiding inside his house! This why to this day the car has never been welded  :)

Below is a whole thread about the car and my personal favorite quick pic taken be Malcolm (Casey) a while back .

Great story :)

So there is no Sedans and Wagons in Europe? What was that red one, in Wales I thing?

I know one sedan here, imported from Sweden but I dunno if its original or clone...

It won't be long before they 2jZ guys move onto the VQ 4.0 litre engines. Scott porter racing uses them currently and making some huge power and laying down some serious times over a year ago. They're making 2000 hp on the GTR for road cars/standing mile so imagine what methanol and 70psi of boost will do

No v8s allowed. I think most manufacturers will go v6 for their biggest engines into the future. Fords GT is now a v6. I love v8s though, a don't think many things sound as unique as a prostock v8, it's a very strange hollow growl
