1974 Mazda rx4 coupe
« on: April 21, 2015, 06:51:09 PM »
Putting this up for sale as I don't have the space anymore to store it unfortunately. I've pulled the ad from eBay from when Grant had it up for sale. The car is still located at Grants in Huddersfield so will need collecting from there.

I've got a couple of pics of it but not sure how to upload them on here?.

Price is £3750 no offers. Please see below for full spec :)

Mazda rx4 coupe. Extremely rare car, only a handful of these exist in the uk.

This car is a 13B model chassis number starting LA23S.

Rear end has been fitted with a LSD purchased from australia with a 4.762-1 ratio diff. Which cost £700. The half shafts in the axle are the strongest one available out of all of the rx4 models.

The car will come with the complete interior, prety much everything is there. All this is stored away to keep it from damage.

No engine with the car although I do have the original engine 13B that came with it and the original 5 speed gear box. These can be bought with the car at an extra cost or we can sort a deal out.

The front suspension has been dropped using modified FB rx7 struts which also give the option to upgrade to much better breaks as I had intended too.

The transmission tunnel has been cut to make a gear box fit into the tunnel due to fitting the engine I was going to put into roughly 6" further back from the stock position.

Standard seats have been repaired as due to age the stitching had split.

All glass is there for the car

The wind screen even has the wire up the middle which was used by Mazda for an aerial for the radio.

Car will come with 4 x FD rx7 wheels and 2 FD rx7 space savers.

I was intending to build this for drag racing but although I have the money to finish it,  I just don't have the time to finish it due to expanding my family recently.

I am not in a rush to sell it, as I have spent a long time getting it too the condition it is in now and would like it to go to a person that would be able to finish the project off.

I do have a fully rebuilt full bridge ported motor to go in it along with a turbo and ecu etc which are available to buy also but are not including with the sale of the rolling shell.

Viewing of the car is welcome but anyone wanting to purchase it will have too come and collect it.
Why its good to do your homework of "specialists"

Oh damn, I would love to have one of those... :/
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.
