Helper springs - what rate?
« on: December 14, 2014, 10:37:24 AM »
Hi all,

I have Apexi N1 Exv coilovers on my fd and want to add helper springs to go lower at the rear.

The spring rate is 12kgf/mm and the springs have a 62mm ID.

I realise that the rate on the helper springs is much lower but not sure what rate to go for (don't particularly need it any harder or softer) and there is too much to choose from in the link below! Also would it be better to get a smaller/bigger ID given they don't have 62mm??

Thanks guys

Matt

It helps that you know the spring rate and I.D. but you will need to remove one and measure the free length of the spring.

Armed with all the information ring the company below and they will help

All the best Clive
