I've just had an email from Stuart Garland at MSVT to confirm we'll get a 10% discount if we get 5 or more people to book on this event, so that's just £89.10, PLUS we will get some free garages - we managed to get 1 garage per 3 cars last year at no extra cost (so effectively a discount of ~£10 there too, at £30 per garage normally).

Maybe you can persuade a partner/friend/family member to buy you this event as a Christmas gift :mmmm:Santa

MSVT DETAILS OF THE EVENT ARE HERE: Friday 20th February 2015 - some lovely pics on page 3 :o, showing the sunshine and DRY track!

HOW TO BOOK YOUR PLACE:
1. Phone 0843 453 3000 (be prepared to wait for a few minutes)
2. State you are booking a trackday for 20 Feb at Snetterton, mentioning you are part of "Casey's Group" (VERY important)
3. You will need to supply;
- Your name, and the name of any other drivers
- If you need a helmet, book it now, as you may get it discounted!
- Your contact telephone number
- Your address (Postcode and first line of address)
- The make & model of the car you will be driving
- Your credit card details (BUT your card will NOT be charged until quite close to the event date)

This secures your place on the day at NO immediate cost. Last year I don't think payments were taken until a few days before the event. When you've booked your place, please annotate the list below, as I have done.

If you want to know more about the day then this link will take you to last year's thread Snetterton Feb 2014

Never done a trackday before? As on all trackdays, they are well managed and marshalled. There will be a comprehensive, compulsory, safety briefing at the start of the day for all drivers, followed by some slow “sighting laps” behind a lead car. There will be plenty of experienced trackheads present who will be only too happy give assistance to any novices.

This is an “Open Pit Lane” event, which means you are free to drive on the circuit when you like, for as much as you like, subject to safe numbers on circuit. If you have a standard RX-8, then expect to get do 10-15 minutes sessions on track with around 20-30 minutes to “cool-off”, else you, your engine, tyres and brakes will overheat!

Circuit Statistics:
Length: 2.99 miles
Corners: 13
Max Noise: 105dB Static, 92dB drive-by (my RX-8 with RB exhaust measures 88dB on the static test)

REQUIREMENTS: Helmets (if you haven't got one, they can be hired at ~£10 on the day), and you MUST bring along your driving license (both parts if you have them) for inspection.
INSURANCE: Insurance is not compulsory, but your normal road insurance is unlikely to cover you. Please look at the separate “Trackday Insurance” thread for advice and make your own judgement.
INSTRUCTION: Will be available on the day, typically £25 for a 20-30 minute session.
LOCAL ACCOMMODATION: Some people may want to stay locally the night before, the night after, or even both! The "usual" place is The Breckland Lodge, just 2 miles from the circuit. Else, here is a list of local accommodation CLICK HERE
EVENING MEAL AFTER THE EVENT: We usually have a bite to eat at the Breckland Lodge carvery restuarant immediately after the event so, if you don\'t need to rush straight off into the rush-hour traffic, add "Fri evening meal" to your name on the list. That way I can book a table for us all to be together.

QUESTIONS: That’s what I’m here for! I’ll do my best to answer any questions you post on this thread, or PM me.

Finally, with acknowledgements to tractorboy, here is a lap of Snetterton taken at last year's February trip;
