A hour on track is about the same as a morning on a trackday (4x 15minute sessions). In that time I\'d expect to top up with (very approximately) a half litre, or slightly less than that. If the oil starts at ~3/4 on the dipstick, to avoid oil being blown back into intake, then a top up of around 1/2 litre every hour should be fine. Engine temperature management will clearly be crucial if running endurance.

Yep, I feared they might run into heat management issues. Let\'s hope the 2nd oil cooler will do the job.

I hope someone can get to the race on Sunday and take some pics and video.

How much that car weight?
Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

Its on Matts todo list.
was a school track car with 2.0 duratec or duratorq init.
So cage been added .
But fibre glass bonnet and doors. Roof removed. Ac egr and airpump gone.
No ew cl etc.
front and rear rx8 subframes fitted along with 8 ppf...with 14" cut out.
Its also had a 4.7 cwp made for the s1 diff.Bum dyno it felt rapid and planted.

Ok, some things has be done allready. :) Just looked so stock.

Was is hard to fit rx8 subframes on it? Cause I remembered Steve saying that there are not much difference between those two models.

Does he need s3 lump with 5,125 and lsd? ;)

Subframes just bolted in relatively straight forward. the power plant frame tieing the diff to the gearbox just needed shortening.

It looks a straight forward job...this 1 was complicated because the donor was bought salvage and immobilsed....and not realised.

thing is if you thought about it you could reverse engineer it back and put the 2.0 duratec/torq engine in an 8!

Flame proof underwear on! but here goes....

seriously though literally buy 2 cars 1 rx8 1 mx5 mk3. swap engines and boxes. looms etc still left with 2 cars at the end! get the 2.0 sport mk3 though.
