is this an unidentified RZ?
« Reply #15 on: July 19, 2004, 02:52:59 PM »
My mate sold his RZ for £5.5K in the end. After I\'d nicked the Recaros :) At 60K miles the car is going to be a bit tired so the RZ premium is a bit of a nonsense IMO - the harder bilstein setup is gonna b pretty warn for a start. Practically the RZs are little different to drive any way. You get the 4.3 diff which is good or bad depending what u like doing with the car. And the bins instead of the seats - again personal preference as to whether good thing/bad thing. The Recaros are the thing that make them worth buying for me - but at 60K I imagine they are pretty worn? the pair I had from a 45-50K car are very worn on the drivers seat - the cloth is not hard wearing at all. But I wanted a set to get retrimmed so they were worth swapping my \'stock\' seats for...

I\'m not trying to rubbish the car, if its a good 93/94 then its a good price. If the Recaros are in good nick then its a bargain. I\'m just politely trying to say that its not a bargain just cause its an RZ and they were ltd edition; a rough RZ is still a rough car - and rough FD\'s are not a nice thing to own! From the pictures it looks pretty straight and it has a nice MS A-spec (or similar/copy of) rear wing and the rims look clean (and are very light :))...

Oh, there werent only 300 RZ\'s made over the years btw ;)

Good luck with the sale, hope she goes to a good home!

Went to have a look at the car earlier today....it was just down the road from where I work. She was in superb condition and nearly 100% original. The damage to the seat was pretty minimal, all in all a very nice car. Easily worth £7100.
What was that? An exhibition? We need emotional content!

Not really cheap at 60K miles, but a \'fair\' price I\'d say considering how the FD market has been of late :(

Bargain if it makes another 20K on the engine :)

Sounds like a good buy then, even if it needs a rebuild soon. The earlier cars are becoming harder to find in very good nick these days so if its in the condition you say it is the buyer should have a nice car for him/herself...

Did anyone who looked at it notice if it had the footrest in the passenger footwell and the extra knee pad on the drivers door? Another couple of ways of telling if its an original :D

It did look pretty nice, I think the earlier ones were more limited edition than the later ones.

There were 300 built in the first production run, late \'92. Another 150 built in \'95 with slight revisions. Then another 175 built in the last production run, the mica pearl white models with the red recaros.
