Sorry Sir, didnt want to sound rude.  ;D Those were just stupid observations. Fact is that you and car is really showing potential now. And Im really really happy about that, after these few unlucky years. Looking forward whats next. And really hoping to see live her run again someday

Don't worry, observations are good as I may see or learn something that has been overlooked.

At around 1250 kilo, she's a big old girl to stop and turn in tight corners  ::)

Ordered a new racing beat rear roll bar last night to go onto the car for Snetterton as their later bar can be made stiffer than their older version I have fitted.

I need to get the car to rotate better on entry to the corners  and the stiffer bar should help stop the car pitching into understeer once i'm actually in the entrance of a corner.

All the best Clive

I reckon it was best option to back off from that situation. Cause even if Clive and Honda would be side be side, Honda had inner side and he would brake much later, maybe forcing Clive out with wider race line...

Damn those little buggers are fast Thru S turns and to main straight, they can open up so much earlier... Ofcourse wight differense is massive...

Power is nothing without control. Weight is enemy of performance, handling and braking.

If Clive had stayed on his line..wouldve pitman manoevered the civic and both cars going off onto probably the least run off area on the circuit...both cars i believe wouldve been totalled in the barriers and probably a few from behind if they bounced back on circuit after hitting barrier...it wasnt a clean move it was a do or or die blocking move luckily Clive had the spacial awareness to see it coming and get of the throttle...
.its not a move I ever expect Clive to make and tbh if he did i probably wouldnt go along to support! Different story if the Civic had made the move and left room for Clive for a Drag race to Tower corner. Red mist me thinks interesting to see it from onboard of Civic if that changes my mind...
Looking at Tsl timing top 4 all good faster for race 2.

Looking at that a few times, Im amazed Clive remained as calm as he was after the race.

Maybe Clive was like a swan! Calm and graceful above the water, and flapping about like a b****** underneath lol.

It was an aggressive move by the Honda either way up.

Clive, I know you mentioned previously that moving the wing had an effect on the performance of the car, but it certainly made for entertaining viewing from a complete "not even a novice" sat here watching.

Definately looked like you were working harder second race.

Productive day, points in the bag !

I did have "words" with Rich when we got out of the cars and made it very clear that had I not seen him running out towards me moved out of the way we would have both taken cars home in carrier bags.

I also told him that it wasn't good if he felt he had to pull moves like that "just to win"

Lastly, I told him that whilst I don't want to race like that , I OWE HIM ONE !

I saw Mr Civic head back up the M5 on the way home, had I have known I could have forced him onto the hard shoulder in the same manner as he forced you on the grass ......... just because lol

To quote the words from a fairly famous book , forgive them for they know not what they do  ;D ;D

Yes Jamie, came home home with an intact car, spent the day with a lot of nice people who came along and brought home some Tupperware  :great:

O'yes, forgot to say brakes were fine this time out (see picture below from our office ;))
