So please I had a chance to test the race car, as some of you know the car popped a hose off the water pump during the third session, no harm done as I was able to kill the engine and roll straight back into the pits. Great that it happened this way as it would have probably come off in qualifying at Brands Hatch on March 24.
Probably the best the car has ever felt and feels much faster down the straights now it holds boost properly, also since the last Coombe outing the car has different spring rates, different brake pad set up, plus the rear plates under the suspension giving a clean air flow to the rear diffuser, means the car feels more stable into and off of the corners.
I know the car has more downforce because an RX-8 owner told me that when I went past him on a dirty part of the track, he could see the diffuser was sucking up dirt and rubbish off the track
I'm going to be really disappointed if I cant break into the 53's at Brands next time out
