Cool...but something blew ecu...so now need some tests to find out what .an ecu should not fail like that.
I agree, RX-8 ECU's are very reliable, so why did this blow? In my experience with computer electronics, the most common cause of electronics failure is power supply issues - power spikes or over-voltage. I still have a niggling feeling of the alternator running too high an output and the ECU power regulator is unable to cope. Could be completely wrong, but an ECU failure is very unusual.
