The best rotary vehicle racing?
« on: April 20, 2012, 02:56:13 PM »
I suggest this is the best racing for Wankel-powered vehicles anywhere:

Good track / racing experience is required to race these extremely fast machines.

Ive got one of the engines from these.
48 hp and 17 kilos.
We warranty our rebuilt engines for Detonation, track day\'s and RWYB and NOW for 30 months which is two and half years or 30,000 miles
We also build all types of race or road engines.
We build race and track cars too.
Any kind of porting undertaken.
Single turbo conversions.

But you don’t race it? If not, why not? You’d have to go a long way for more motorsport fun than that (and spend an awful lot more).

Oh yes, this is the 4th season of racing these karts in the UK.
Primarily, it’s an aircraft engine – mainly UAVs, but others, too – like the one used by Bear Grylls to paraglide over Everest (boosted to nearly 100hp): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncaSNZ6LDMQ

  More here: http://www.woelfle-engineering.com/

Yes, I have one. I’m no. 52 in the picture:

Onboard race video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7jZ-QuKvsrE  (don’t know happened with the wobbly graphics)

Contact here for test drive etc: http://www.aim-motorsport.co.uk/ - you’ll be blown away by the experience (even with plenty of high-performance track/racing experience, which is required).

NB: I have no commercial interest in this whatsoever; just spreading the information.

PS: So you’re in Guildford – me too. I take it you drag race?
