digital is more for new cars which detect the resistance through the bulb. if it reads less than 55w then assumes is broken so will flash up the faulty light light on the dash.
(often occures with most 35w kits but easily solved with a can bus)
fd should be ok with any hid kit (digital or non digital)
can bus is just a resistor that bumps up the resistance so the elec stuff sees 55w so doesnt flash up the faulty light light.
99% made in china so same stuff really.
