TOTB III Let the panic begin!!
« on: June 22, 2004, 02:09:00 PM »
Spoke to henning regarding the TOTBIII list today, the list is currently :

Phil Gooriah
Erdin Halil
Chris Philp (Sense Tuning)
Anthony Fleming (Sterte Garage)
Ross Juniper (Dragon Performance)
We have Max as a backup incase anyone should drop out.

I thought I had heaps of time to finish eeking the last few ponies out of her, but as anyone knows who has tried getting a car ready for such an event there 5 weeks ain\'t that long!!

What stage are the rest of the list at??

Has anyone got a barely legal pair of DJo1\'s that they will be replacing soon??

That will be the FDUK entrants list. I think one or two others at least are going with other groups.

Is your car up and running again after its demise then Chris?

She is up and running and going strong.............thank god!!

A fairly eventfull last few months, after it\'s untimely rotor re shaping fiasco, some cold plugs were fitted, another turbo and a heap of internal bits.
As I was a little concerned about reliability myself and Jason decided on a fairly tame map with little or no risk (if this is possible on a rotary?!?)
Anyway set boost at 1 Bar and did a fairly comprehensive road test consisting of driving fairly hard to le mans and driving very hard on the way back.
Road testing now complete and confidence kinda restored, it\'s time to see what she can do, got a profec b which I have preliminary tried and held nice solid boost.

It\'s going to be interesting to see how medium twins fair against the single\'s.

Thanks to Jason on the tuning front, drives really nicely and didn\'t get beaten by anything on the le mans trip.
Managed to demonstrate what blowing doors off really means to a friendly 300zx owner :) very satisfying!

Yup, assuming my car runs on Sunday I\'ll be there :cool

Chris, you really don\'t want to know - my car hasn\'t turned a wheel since February :o engine is going back in on Thrusday/Friday, rough map on Saturday then 1/4 mile time on Sunday.  Assuming all goes well it gives 3 weeks for fine tuning and suspension setup.

Anyone got any miracles handy?

I am ready to wire her up as soon as you guys are ready,  Can’t wait to check it out! Let me know what stage you are at and when you want me to come up.
I need to go to Jason’s for the next mapping session, if we can tie this together then it would make things easier for me.

Wander over to FDUK sign up and post in the appropriate thread.  There are limited numbers (5 FDs) so you will only be a reserve, but speak to Henning as you may be required given the rate engines die at.

Folks,

I\'ve looked all over the web and nowhere does it state what time this event starts . Any ideas ?
Also, a map to Elvington ? I know it\'s near York and I\'m coming down the A1 from Durham, but I couldn\'t find a map either.

Off to try Multimap......

Cheers,

You have Ross in your list of entrants, i believe he is not running at TOTB3, although the Dragon car is now quicker than it was at rotorstock.

Sounds very much like last year\'s TOTB2 lots of talk and very little show - 5 cars entered only 1 ended up with good times and he was not invited this year:rolleyes:

Good luck to any who run, sorry won\'t be bothering this year

It\'s not far for me so I ought to go and check it out. Any FDs going who have a Blitz SS BOV fitted ? Wouldn\'t mind checking out how to install them as I am buying one on Ebay and will want to fit it as soon as I get it !!!!!
