First of all Before I wrote this, is that I do not beleive in any religion, god, acts of god, miraculs(spelling) ghosts etc etc.

First of all, God didn\'t create man, Man created god.
That was a bit off topic but had to be said. Apologies if anyone is offended by that.

Second, this relates to the topic by the way, if a preacher of the Muslim faith said he was going to burn copies of the bible in the birthday of Jebus, would the media and anyone else make a fuss about it? Or the burning of any other religious books by the way?

On the cat theory. shake the box hard and the odds shift in favour of dead.

On the Koran, there\'s a bit in there about Jesus, so why has no-one spoken about the own goal?  Also, will the Gideons supply Bibles for the retaliation that will get even greater publicity.

Now there are various Iman\'s around the world saying that this act will threaten world peace.  You can\'t really say that the world is all that peaceful currently.

Not as good as Pavlov\'s cat theory!

Is that better than the cat in the bin theory ? :o

I think cat\'s get a bum deal - look at the words with cat in:

CATastrophy
CATaclysm
conCATanated
sCAT

Seems that we really do love dogs more ;)

But back on the topic again, I can\'t help wondering if this was some misguided publicity stunt - and very stupid if so.

It seems the real issue for some of these Americans is they don\'t want an Islamic religious centre being built \'near\' ground zero - and it\'s not that close when you look at it.  The Islamic centre was even going to have rooms for other faiths - that\'s being fairly accomodating - I\'ve been in a mosque in Turkey - but they don\'t have seperate rooms for Christians, Jews etc, nor would you ever find that in any other building catering for the other world religions ??

As the Imam proposing it said when asked if he really needed the building to be that close to ground zero - "No, not really, but there are a lot of muslims who work around here and they need somewhere to pray" - fair enough - doesn\'t seem like he\'s pushing an agenda to upset people.

Countries have been ruined for years because of bickering in the name of religion - because religion is man made, as oposed to a faith or belief which is what gives rise to religion, which has it\'s heart set on a higher goal.

When people stop twisting the words of others to suit their own ends - then perhaps peace is a possibility - until then we\'ll just have to get along.

BTW - are we some kind of religion with our love of the rotary ? :Giggle

my father is a muslims, which means i am too. but since i was 8 i stopped because the cleric become insane, started to blame the usa for the middle east problem, and said there has to be holy war. the problem is, if tomorrow there was no violence from anyone or anything in the middle east, the u.s would be told to leave. also, as for this pastor with 50 members, every day in the middle east there are hundreds, if not thousands of men, coming together, burning bibles, and saying death to america, but see, as westerners, we have to put up with this from the marxist media.

also, jesus never went around sleeping with 8 year old girls or burning and looting whole villages if they didnt join his cult(it was a cult back then), muhammad did this though. you tell me who the nice guy is? jesus f`n rocks !
