I think you can squeze 0.7 bar out of a stock turbo, but my racetech boost guage is telling me it gets to 0.6 and then the wastegate opens, might just be my car although it is a \'91 with the most revised and updated ECU and specs

Narr the turbo is good for about 1 bar. I\'ve had mine up nearly as high as that. You might need a stronger wastegate spring or something though. Mine was like it when I got it so can\'t really elaborate much more cause I don\'t know what was done before I got it.

What are the updated specs? I\'ve got a 91 sat on the drive but havent noticed any difference between that and my 1990 one

I think it had a different ECU, mine doesn\'t have a rev limiter lol

Mines a non runner so don\'t know about that! I\'ll have to have a look on the ecu and see what the number on it is and compare it to my other one

Yeah I will do at some point, I have checked it before and seems to still be stock, so unless someone has chipped it, its running a stock ecu, how on earth can you get 1 bar of boost out of such an iccle turbo lol I would rather change the turbo than run the stock turbo about 150% lol

Yeah I wouldn\'t like to either. With the right Mods to support it 0.9 bar is fine from what I\'ve heard. Think mine is hitting around 14 psi on full load at the minute which is about 0.9 bar then it drops off to around 5psi.

Im aiming for 400bhp lol :) I need to find a wiring harness for an e-manage, you know of any suppliers? I can only get the FD ones :(

if you really struggling to find one then im off to hong kong soon so can try n lookie over there for u. else ebay would prob be ur best bet

It looks like I have managed to find a harness to tap into, which is good lol I saw that HKS one as well, its just a chipped ECU, Im going to go for an e-manage as its more adjustable and can be changed easily :)

Stock boost in a TII should be around 0.45bar IIRC - with the right mods you can double that fairly easily... ;) :wave

Think I\'ve been getting mixed up with bar and psi. 0.45 bar would work out around 7psi or so. That must have been what i read not 0.7 bar!

lol that makes more sense :) 0.5 bar is 7.25psi which is basically giving me as much boost as an asmatic sneeze, I will probably get an e-manage soon so that I can ensure that I have mapping for a higher boost level, before I play around with the boost lol its going to be interesting to find out what time gets knocked off when I put my new shiny shiny top mount on....and the fuel pump...HT leads....greddy compression tube....intercooler sprayer....2 new tyres.....aluminium bonnet....front splitter.....new spoiler on :)
