Paint (Black)
« on: March 28, 2004, 02:37:04 PM »
Hi Guys,

Ive got a Black second Gen and it needs some touching up, i.e. i need to stick a bit of filler on it, but i cant seem to get Mazda black paint anywhere. Anyone got any sources or ideas, im not respraying a whole panel justa touch at bottom of the door.

Also have a key mark :reallymad down one door, i heard it can be fixed without being resprayed anyone heard of this.????

Cheers All

Take the paint code into one of the larger Halfrauds. They will mix paint for you in either a ratle can or a stick.

There\'s a few companies out there who can do localised paint repairs without the need for respraying panels and filling etc.

Those who I\'ve heard of are the likes of Chipsaway (for paint), Dentsaway (for dings etc), and evalet (both).  I\'ve never used any of these, but have heard they can do a pretty invisible job (and cheap too!).

I\'m with Sach on this. Matt at Chipsaway in Peterborough (maybe a little further than you may be willing to travel), would be able to sort you out with any dents, chips or scratches you might have. He worked on my last car and did a very good job.
He can even mix up the correct paint for your car on site :)

If it\'s a UK car call Mazda with the chassis number, they will tell you the paint code, I had it, but can\'t find the scrap of paper it was written on! Then any paint shop, Halfrauds etc will mix it for u
