New club complaints system
« on: July 14, 2008, 07:59:53 PM »
Following on from last weeks thread started by O,J (Archbishop) myself and team have taken on one excellent suggestion that came out of that thread that you can see below,

Quote:
If somebody gets a set number of complains about him, he should be automatically kicked out. First time yellow card, second, red card and you are out.
That\'ll take care of the mods having to take sides or not knowing how or what to do, it\'ll be us deciding who and what we want in our club.

From now on by using the reported post symbol that you can see on every post MRC Full Club members will now be able to decide the fate of members and guests who make antagonistic derogatory posts.

Any Full Club Member who feels a post is unwarranted, derogatory etc, should hit the report post button on the post in question.

A system has now been put in place whereby the recipient of a reported post will be given a infraction point against there name for a fixed period of time this is a new system for us so subject to review but the proposals are that guests receiving 3 points will be given a 3 day suspension, Full Club Members receiving 3 points will be downgraded to Guest permissions for 3 days, Members and Guests Accumulating 5 points will be given a 7 day suspension and Members Guests Accumulating 10 points will receive a 1 month suspension.

Depending on the reason for suspension or ban team@MRC will also reserve the right to ask for a guarantee from the person not to repeat the reason for the suspension or ban, and if they feel they are not able to comply for whatever reason then the suspension or ban will stay in place indefinitely.

We do actually realise that this is open to abuse and we will do our best to work out if the complaint is genuine or the result of some sort personal grievance with the person concerned but by and large this will give our normal club members more say in the way the clubs forum is operated and please note Full Club Members only have the right to complain because Guests should not be seen to be influencing the club over paying Members.

In an ideal world as like minded enthusiasts we should not need to use the above system, however by implementing this it gives Members more of a say about the way the Clubs Forum is operated.
All the best Clive

So, sorted that out.  Now about the lack of Jaffa Cakes on this forum - seriously, on Practical Performance Car magazine forum, they have them left, right and centre.  Sometimes garlic bread even...!!:eek

(btw, note the rotary project in Readers Projects this month.  Dunno who that \'Owen\' bloke is tho...)
Everyone wants to be like ArchBish,
