My clutch exedy triple carbon
« on: June 03, 2008, 01:38:41 AM »
Just removed bith my engines this week, I was happy to see my donor car which o paid 1850 for running with tiens/ bride etc had this clutch also had this rude boy http://www.nengun.com/exedy/hyper-carbon-carbon-r-twin-plate-clutch. included:yes

i was wondering

a) how much can i get for this 2nd hand?

b) if i keep it how do i find the counterbalance to put on the new engine.

c) will it be hard to reinstall on a new engine

d) shoudl i get a pro to fit it on, what tools are needed?

e) one of the carbon discs has slight edge damage when the engine was removed, will this be a problem? how much is  a new disc. where from

what a clutch really want to keep it, its great for steet use even though its a full blown race jobbie. bite is very low though,

cheers all

Tighten the crank bolts diagonally not at a time, but for several times with equal force. Finally,
tighten up it with the specified torque.

i think i get it

Whoa cool, take it i wont get any hp gains from it, just a freely revving engine and great off the line? Thinking about using it for my new engine but what tools do i need. its kind of in bits now in a box in my garage. i just hope i can fit it alright. might swap it for a working engine straight though.

would anyone like to buy this from me. i need the cash to fund my new engine. i can post pics. offers all please pm me. 2 grand new. the clutch is in great condition. the carbon plates have a little wear on them but are very strong still and are cheap to replace when the time comes. one carbon plate has a little knick on the edge when i removed the engine. a great clutch flywheel and counterbalance with instructions. so try me. cheers

That means you need to tighten the bolts alternate so that they are equally tight, much like doing up a wheel, and then when they are all tight, go round and tighten them to the torque settings it should be. It just means that its balanced :)

I\'ve got the Exedy Hyper Carbon Twin Dcore the ZM022SDMC1 and it feels almost like stock, quiet too. I\'m still running my engine in but I\'m looking forward to seeing how it performs on the street and round a track.
