just a little turbo.....specs

Hi guys,
Looking at the potential of putting a little turbo on a NA motor as they do quite commonly in the states. Either way, i dont wanna run mega boost, for obvious reasons, and have been offered an Airesearch turbo relatively cheaply. What A/R specs should i look for. In adition to some A/R specs (that im waiting for) It has
50mm air outlet
70mm air intake
2x35mm exhaust inlet
68mm exhaust outlet

Whatcha reckon? what A/Rs should i look for?

minimum of 0.86 hot and 0.60 cold i would say.  I put a Cossie T3/4 which is the big one from the early escorts cosworth and it was way too small for a stock TII lump.  Needless to say, it had NO lag at all.


Why dont you just put a stock Tii turbo on it?

Hey I saw this turbo for sale on vzi and looked very similar to the one i sold to a guy to put on his mondeo?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 Considering you would have to buy and fit an external wastegate maybe a stock turbo would be an easier start? Mind you on re-looking at the  specs it is a bit bigger than the one I didnt want to put on my 12a...

ah ok......it is probably worth just looking at stockers then.... What boost did you see on the cossie turbo?

i only ran 1 bar, but on cossies they run  2 bar.
the exhaust housing isnt big enough though
