I know this is a common problem, anyone know of a cure or if they can be freed off?

Series 1 cosmo I assume.  No idea.  1st gen RX-7, however, has a little switch at the bottom of the latch to release it.

hi, no it\'s a series 1 rx7. i can open the boot with the remote release but not with the key. the barrel doesn\'t turn. this is the third series 1 i have had this problem with.
