What was the 100mph challenge? If that\'s not a stupid question.

it was the first person to break the 100mph terminal speed - there is a huge thread about it - and you have managed to do it on a pretty much stock car !! LOL

the 0-60 at 5.5 - thats very impressive - i like that i really do - im sure the book figures are 7.2 ( i think )

7.2? I thought it was around 6 to 6.5 (depending on the road test!)

Thanks Grinder,

It is a stock engine / turbo / intercooler, but it was running 1 bar, home made \'straight shot\' induction kit with cold airbox, high ocane fuel (99 + booster) 3in de-cat exhaust etc etc. I guess most of you guys would probably have to take the mods further as I\'m sure you wouldn\'t want to strip all your interior (and more) to achieve the \'magical\' 100mph, like I did.

Cheers,
Nick

Oh, and a 0-60mph recorded at 5.573 secs :)

Well done that man - that\'s my target to beat then in my heavy old bus !

Yep I\'m hoping for sub 14 sec and over 100mph over the line this year. Not sure i\'ll be able to do it but i\'m gonna try. I\'m not sure how my new suspension will cope with the launch. ( I think it will be too hard)
Oh and well done TTW.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

I wonder how many std TIIs would achieve that figure today  Especially driven by their caring owners instead of a \'banzai\' road tester :2Mad
Mines got 118k on it and I doubt it would have done it before I started, but hey she flys now :D

My best run at Japshow was 15.54 at 94, with rubbish 60ft time.  I need to work on my launch, and the power is still hopelessly high in the rev band - got to get that emanage on soon :(

I reckon there\'s a 14 in this car somewhere :driving

Wierdly, the car feels so much quicker on the road - I can\'t put my finger on it.

Your quarter mile time seems to be correct for a stock turbo with the heavier conv body, you need to have just over 300bhp to get into 14s
