In the flesh the Rolls Royce ones appear smaller to me that the Curtiss Wright one.
The Rolls ones were of a big rotor and a small rotor combined.The big rotor fed the smaller rotor.

Ah thats correct, Carl. The big rotor was the supercharger for the small one.

I\'m guessing that these huge rotoary engines went in to planes yeh? Any pitures of the planes themsevles? And why are the Rolls Royce engines such a big mystery? do they not let anyone see them or something?
