While most rotary owners are enjoying Rotorstock, i spent yesterday polishing the car...

..note the reflection of my daughter. Who said you can\'t get a mirror finish on a silver car ;)

Beautiful job, mate.

I\'m about to take care of a lovely silver Rx-7 myself v soon.  Can i ask you what procedure you routinely go through to get a decent finish like that?  I remember a post not long back about the different polishes that ppl use.

Am consindering getting a steam cleaner too unless this is ill advised.

and hurry up rotorstock people!  waiting to see some nice pics and video clips for the likes of those less fortunate.

Hi Nik

I used the Meguiars STEP 1,2 and 3 \'stuff\'. Lots of elbow grease required but I\'m delighted with the end result.

Meguiars STEP 1 - Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner A3016

Meguiars STEP 2 – Deep Crystal Polish A2116

Meguiars STEP 3 - Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax A2216

Yeah I agree the Meguires stuff is amazing !!

Did all the stages on my car, even when the car is filthy and dusty all I have to do is wipe cloth over the bodywork and the dirt comes off !!

Hadnt cleaned the car for 2 weeks, drove all the way to London and back from here in Norfolk and showed the car to some of my Girlfriends family after the journet. They said did I clean the car on the way over ?!!!? Err no...checkout the cast of extras from A Bugs Life that made it onto the front of my car in various different stages of decapitation !!!!
They couldnt believe I hadnt cleaned it though !!

Meguires is amazing, had loads of overspray on my car, all of it has come off and the paintwork feels so smooth !

Takes me about 4 hours to do the whole thing.

..ive just noticed your post bobster, hows it going??

I\'d do your car too, but you\'d find the biggest, muddest puddle to drive through just so it seemed like yours again ;)

Marc

PS Maybe i should start a little business!

Not bad Marc...

Washed the Car before going into rotorstock then drove down the dusty road so all the dust stuck to the car...;) .... so your probably right.
