Well it would be unfair to disclose how much the invoice was for..............but I think a lot of Clives contribution margin was lost on Cellotape packing it up lol.

I used patience with scissors for around 2 mins, but then I started to sweat and my eyes went green.......there was this piercing screeching noise and I just lost it hahahah

(notice how neatly the contents had to be rearranged and some promo stickers strategically arranged)

I think I may have anger issues! lol

Evening Jon

They are indeed...........exciting times!

They are certainly shinier than the new pattern for the fibreglass centre console.

Its still early days and looking very ugly, made from part of the original and chopped out bits added, drywall adhesive, wood, and boat loads of filler.

The oil pressure / temp gauge will be grafted onto this too.

Its an obscure shape, but it makes sense when it marrys up with the dashboard.

Off to the Middle East on Friday so progress will be slow for a week or two..........

Clive...... I have a couple of Q? on the new parts, can I give you a tinkle tomorrow if youre in the office?

Out of the office tomorrow, but you can still get me on 01474 777800, leave a message if I don't get to it quick enough.

I suspect you may ask if you need  a return line ?

When I ordered the FPR, I was told that whilst the RX-8 is classed as a return less system a return pipe needs to be plumbed back into the bottom port on the FPR.

Jon, can you help Jamie with some pictures as you are running the same type of fuel system setup ?

Malcolm, it would help if you could take some pictures of the fuel pipes where they meet the bulkhead to show the colours of the fuel connectors as this should also help Jamie know what pipes go where. From memory your looking at red and blue connectors.
All the best Clive

A little bit?

That packaging was stronger than my welding !!!

Nope the return line isn't an issue, but any help Jon and Malcolm can give would certainly be welcomed.........I'm asuuming the regulator is set at the correct pressure and its "non adjustable" ?

It was more about the tails on the pump you emailed about and the extra one taped to the outside of the box, it's only a quickie, I'll buzz you tomorrow.

I'm out tomorrow, but I'll try to get some pics up on Friday.

Are you using that new Walbro pump in an RX-8 fuel basket? If so, that's the same as I'm currently running. Not sure if you are aware that the recommendation is to melt the plastic around the top of the pop-off valve on the basket, to prevent the higher pressure pump activating it. Done it on mine and never had an issue.

Hey, no it's a bespoke tank, outlet to fuel filter, then an "out of tank" walboro pump

Im running rx8 stylee return less. My tank houses the original rx8 fuel pot with inboard regulator. I have added a sytec filter in the engine compartment. Its ran in 8mm id fuel hose from pump to rx8 hard fuel lines. The original is hard shelf plastic pipe. If your careful you cant cut this off the rx8 coupler and attach coupler to 8mm fuel hose so it fits onto hard metal fuel pipes.

Week away from the shed...................

Removeable dash top ready to clad in HD foam and then Vinyl for that authentic 70's vibe.

Centre console pattern taking shape, needs a little fettling, then make the mould.

Sigh.............
