So have you got your tacho working now? or you still looking to install an after-market jobbie? I've been out in mine twice now since cleaning the connections, solder points and board itself all it seems to be working fine now but I won't hold my breath lol

Sorry to drag this up.. What Symptom of failing did your rev counter have? The link you posted doesn't work s I don't know if you have found the same as me and have the same issue? As soon as you turn the ignition on the rev count starts flipping out all over the places. Sometimes it stops. then it might work or a bit.. then it just goes wild again!
Found instructions on replacing a couple of capacitors and re-soldering connections.
Sound familiar?
Or do I need to be looking at something else like a short somewhere?

Flicking about all over place and over reading by 1000 rpm..comes and goes.
I cant reattach link as away from laptop and home for few weeks.
I tried all the tricks except replacing the capacitors and made no difference which is why i gave up and fitted the shift light which took 30 mins.
