removal of charcoal canister fuel hardline?

I am running new fuel lines on my 20b converted FD so doing away with the old hardlines. I was wondering if I am safe to also remove the 3rd line that runs from the charcoal canister above the diff. I gather this is just a fuel tank breather and on a 13b setup runs into the inlet plenum via a control valve to draw any fuel smells into the engine? I don't have the facilities to connect this up o the 20b. Hence I am thinking just leave a pipe hanging down above the diff out of the charcoal canister. Gives me more room to run the new Lines and tidy's it up a bit? I presume fuel should never come out of this line?
 Can anyone confirm my thoughts please?
 I had considered running the 3rd line as a separate fuel feed but think I will get into issues only have the single return line? Plus it gives more joints and fittings to leak!?

Just leave it disconnected and you wont have any issues,

You won't need any more fuel than the stock feed and return lines and you can still keep the standard fuel filter.
