No key isnt an issue, replacement lock sets are around £50 used. 10 minutes to remove ignition barrel and problem solved

I agree Dave, Black and White for UK and red for the Germans!  Silver does seem to be least popular over here.

Its a 1999 Type RB in white, assume you have the pictures too.  Pretty much standard, just aftermarket exhaust and what looks like Spirit R BBS alloys.  Was in the recycle section the past could of weeks in Kyushu.  runs and drives but may have other issues.  Mileage is unconfirmed.

Once the nut is off there is nothing to stop it. They can rust in a bit.  Best solution is getting it under a press and get some decent pressure on it.

Its old school R Magic.  

In complete contradiction to above, its a nice rare and good looking bumper IMO.  I would repair it and keep my car looking different to the rest!

Quiet a common cause for this is the main filler cap failing.  This is the one with the Yellow arrow.  This is the only place you need to fill up from.  

The AST is the red arrow which you have replaced with a alloy replacement.

The main filler is a standard cap without a spring where as the AST does have a spring.

First thing to do is replace Main Filler Cap (Labeled YELLOW arrow)

I would say if you want to go down that route just sell yours and buy one already done.  Add to that list ECU, mapping, clutch and various other bits and pieces to do the job properly.  Why potentially blow £8-9k when you can buy one for a damn sight less.  Just my opinion in the current market :)

If you go down the route of insurance then hopefully ALL your modifications are listed with the insurer including anything that you just had done at otherwise they can turn around and back out.
 
As keith has said get it out of storage becuase if the insurance dont pay for it, you will.
 
TBH, 99 spec or not insurance will write it off. New parts will soon add up. I can see an easy £6k on new parts there without labour, paint etc.

Check the sticker in the driver side door.  Chances are its a Touring X model which was available in manual hence the sunroof and cruise controls etc
