Sorry to hear it failed Stu. On the plus side though mine passed today. Although I was told the hand brake is a bit soft and needs to be looked at. Spooky! Im hopeing its just a sticky caliper but it sounds like you\'re in the same situation. Chin up it could be worse £££££££££!

2nd generation RX-7's / noise at 2500rpm and 3800rpm ish
« on: April 22, 2007, 12:59:12 PM »
It sounds a bit like mine. mine has funny rattley noise between 2200rpm and just over 3000rpm. mine is just a baffle in the silencer that seems to move around at those revs. Don\'t know if that helps but at least your not alone!

I presume its just a case of removing the cap off the bearing and then you can get at it? fingers crossed for you by the way.

Just had my pre mot check. It needs one small patch welding in the passenger side front arch, Passenger side wheel bearing needs nipping up as it has a small amount of play in it. which is better than I expected. other than that it wants a good clean up underneath with a wire brush and some underseal. Booked in for next friday for the mot.

2nd generation RX-7's / TII - Comments please
« on: April 19, 2007, 11:46:02 PM »
Wow thats a whole lot of work you\'ve done and still got to do. I have a front splitter on mine that needs repairing as it is cracked. Was it a hard job to do? I have never worked with fiber glass before.

Yeah I agree. Go for the turbo II. I just bought one after looking at s14\'s and s15\'s for ages. Im well happy with my choice. The turbo II just gives you a better kick up the rear when you floor it!:3gears-rh

Man thats a nice car. Totally floored in its design but all good super cars are in some way or other. Still can\'t believe that they destroyed it.

Yeah the music reminds me of the italian job too. Although just for the record its not a ferrari he is driving it a lamborghini Miura. I hate it when people get that wrong! (im so sad!)
Good choice to keep the car insted of breaking it by the way T2N
