2nd generation RX-7's / How many miles?
« on: February 13, 2011, 11:49:24 PM »
Just thought I\'d put up a post as I\'ve been out for a late night drive tonight :) And guess what.... when I pulled up outside my house I noticed my FC was 1/2 a mile or so off 100,000 miles. Not bad for a 21 year old I reckon.

So my question is, How many miles has your FC done people?

Rotary and General Chit-Chat / Anyone playing Gran Turismo 5?
« on: November 24, 2010, 11:08:16 PM »
If you fancy an online race (if it\'ll ever let me on the server!) then send a friend request to me (TiddlesRX7) and we\'ll have a go. Not sure about the first impression of the game. The more I play it the better it gets but there is such a lot of faffing about to start with its unbelieveable.

General Technical / TII IAT sensor question
« on: October 16, 2010, 02:27:13 PM »
Can I use an FD IAT sensor in my TII insted of an FC one? I am gonna change the FC one for an FD one ,when I finally get round to installing my Apexi PFC. But im just wondering if I can do it now as I have the inlet in bits at the moment. If I install it will the stock ECU throw a wobbly?

2nd generation RX-7's / Rear wiper fuse problem
« on: September 24, 2010, 08:10:40 PM »
As per title. The rear wiper keeps blowing the fuse on my FC. The car doesn\'t get used that much anymore. So could it be down to the wiper motor getting stiff through lack of use? If so what can I do about it?

Wheels & Tyres, Suspension & Brakes / FC ABS problem
« on: June 02, 2010, 07:17:36 PM »
I\'ve been having trouble with my ABS kicking in at low speeds for a while now. I\'ve check everything as best I can and it all checks out ok. Trouble is I have a track day next week so I really could do with it sorting. Now as far as I can think I have two options.
1/ try and find/fix the problem.
2/ Remove the ABS ready for the track day.

Now I have changed the pads and Im gonna bleed the system and put fresh fluid in at the weekend. Hopefully this will help. I did blead the system when the problem first started and it has helpped. So question is which option is easiest?
Can I just remove the ABS ecu and drive the car like that for now untill I can remove it all together? Does anyone have a guide to removing the ABS on a FC?

All help welcomed

2nd generation RX-7's / Who\'s removed their ABS then?
« on: May 09, 2010, 09:28:32 PM »
Im sure I\'ve read a thread not so long ago where someone was removing their ABS.
Im after the Motor relay and the Valve relay off the ABS pump. So if you\'ve removed yours and don\'t need these anymore I\'ll take em off your hands gladly.

2nd generation RX-7's / ABS problem?
« on: April 25, 2010, 04:50:17 PM »
Can anyone help me out with a ABS problem. Intermittantly the light keeps coming on the idiot cluster. The brakes are good and solid except just before the car stops. Like pulling up to a junction the brakes are good then just when I dip the clutch to stop I can feel the ABS working (juddering feel). Then I can hear a hissing sound from under the bonnet. I also am getting alot of squeeking from the brake pads at the moment. Anyone know what it is.
