I found the MX-5 way too light so I can imagine!

There\'s an Iain Thacker at number 71 on the final scoreboard - anyone we know?

I got VIP tickets from Mazda so skipped the queues for the zoom zoom challenge. Did 25.48 in the PZ first then 25.17 in the MX5 - probably should have done them the other way round to get a better time.

My overall score was 29.65 so not quite good enough to make it onto the leader board - but it was excellent fun. :cool

Hi Ian,

Yeah sorry - it went really well. We only had OC members come along so see here for details of what we thought.

No literature as yet but Norton Way are booking test drives if you fancy going for a spin.

I\'ll post some pics up on my website when I get a chance.

Hi Ann
How\'s the hand after your avocado incident? Our path\'s may cross one day so i\'ll expect a wave. :rollin Keep up the good work. :)
Cheers
Pete

Hi Pete,

It healed really well but I couldn\'t wear a ring on that finger for a while.

I\'ll look out for you but I only really get out and about at the weekends - hopefully catch you at a club event?

No of course not, at the end of the day, I think my car looks the nuts but then I had it made how I wanted it....

Have you been on the American RX8 owners club? http://www.rx8web.com

They seem really friendly, a bit more open minded and will probably appreciate your wheels too.

Are you there both days?

Rach

You are so right - and it\'s always good to be different.

Yes I have been over on the \'dark side\'. So I\'ve well and truly been photocropped!  :2eek  Some of those guys have way too much time on their hands.  :D

We did have a couple of American\'s over on the OC and they couldn\'t believe how un-customed so many of our 8\'s are.

Yes I\'m at Rotorstock both days - James (BlueAdept) has talked me into camping - not done that since the Girl Guides. My friend Sue who also has an 8 will be with me so us females will have to stick together!  :Giggle

Hi Ann

Thanks, is it really? I\'ll have to go have a look. Do you have the link?

Yes I\'ll definately be at Rotorstock, I\'m looking forward to putting some faces to names and meeting you all.

Rach

Hi again,

I see you\'ve found it - when I re-read some of the comments (including my own) I wasn\'t sure if you\'d be offended. But as I said a lot of 8 owners are VERY conservative - even my alloys are too much for most

You watch all the boys suddenly turn very nice now you\'ve posted.  ;)

But the question is which forum do you now post in - RX-8 or RX-7?  :Giggle

Looking forward to meeting you at Rotorstock in my very plain 8.

Rachael your car is certainly a talking point on the RX-8 OC! We are loving it except the boys aren\'t keen on the pink (there\'s a surprise!

It\'s a very impressive project - you seem to have the best of both cars IMHO. Are you bringing it to Rotorstock? I\'d love to have a closer look.

8\'s seem to be driven mainly by women in my area, who don\'t know what a RX7 is let alone concider waving!
:eek

Actually I think you\'re right Pete - and they probably don\'t know what a rotary is either (as someone else said).

I\'m still learning but hopefully the exception to the rule.

Are they waking up to what an RX-7 is?

Yep I think you\'ve hit the nail on the head Martin. I have to confess that I\'m only just starting to recognise 7\'s on the road now.

Saw a nice FD on the M25 yesterday but as I was in my boyfriends BMW I thought it best not to wave in case he thought I was completely mad!  :Laugh

Hi guys,

I thought I better take the plunge and make my first post – so here is as good a place to start as any!   :D

My name is Ann, I’m 36 years old, single, no kids and I live in Baldock, Hertfordshire – god I sound like I’m writing a lonely hearts advert. lol  I work in the City as a Compliance Officer for a bank (honestly it’s not as boring as it sounds!)

I’ve been a Mazda owner for over 10 years and in March 2005 I took delivery of my Strato RX-8. I absolutely love it and I have been a very active member of the RX-8 Owners Club organising several meets – check out my website for loads of photos: http://www.annhowlett.com

I also regularly attend the monthly Dartford meets and have chatted with Clive. I joined the MRC a couple of months ago and as I’m going to the Christmas dinner next weekend I thought I better introduce myself – please say hello if you see me.

I love getting out and about in my car and meeting fellow enthusiasts – I look forward to going to lots of events in 2006 (and I’m sure I’ll be organising a few  :chat  ).

Ann.
