1st generation RX-7's / Re: Ferrari Yellow Rx7 FB Series 3 1985

Hi Chris. That's good progress there so far. What were the wheels that you replaced? I quite like the look of those.

Regards
Dave,

Great venue and great day. Quite a different atmosphere with several other clubs in attendance. I've never seen so many Marina's in one place (and not a falling piano in sight)  ;D

Mick. Exhaust manifold to block is 10mm wider for 13b. If you are referring to the downpipe flange, I guess that would be larger also as 13b T will run a larger diameter pipe.

Malcolm / Clive.  Thnx for that. I've got the day off so it would be a shame not to do something constructive.  ;D

I'm doubtful that TWiR will have a new heart by then. What's the deal with coming to watch? Is that possible? Will wear rotary themed clothing to blend in (Clive Fanclub Banners not included)  ;)

No was on the list to do, understand its a straight swop just the pipe work to change but I was running FD fronts and Rear calipers

That's something I did not know Mark. Sounds like a good upgrade considering our cars are approaching 30 yrs now!  What pipe works needs changing ... it's just one vac hose as I recall? (not that I've ever looked into it so maybe it's not that simple)   :-\

Does it go faster now ?? Quite like that shape Hiace. Shame that Toyota had to go and change it the ugly looking thing that it has become.

General Technical / Compression test result
« on: March 16, 2014, 11:47:50 PM »
It should show 3 readings per rotor, one for each face so six in total.

A genuine rotary engine compression tester is the only way to get a proper reading.

Old school parts and motors / LSD centre for RX2, RX3, RX4 and RX7
« on: March 16, 2014, 11:40:04 PM »
I purchased one for my RX-7. MX-5 Torsen LSD center mated to S3 internals. Works very well and really plants the rear end. :3gears-rh All tolerances properly set and tested too so it\'s all good to go.   http://www.mazdare.eu/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4

Old school Mazda's / Help please

Check your fuel filter (in the trunk on a RX4). There may be an inline one close the carb.
Also fuel pump or as Jon suggested, carb jets. Certainly fuel related anyway. Crud in fuel tank, water in fuel??
