Just a quick question...

I got the brochure for the RX8 in the post the other day, bought a copy of what car and browsed through these forums and I think I want one :P

I\'ve decided on the 22k model but the question is - is leather, sat nav, metallic/mica paint and sunroof the only options you can spec? The last new car I bought was a MINI, and well, that\'s a BMW, so had twenty million things to choose from.

Does anyone know if there\'s anything else I can choose that\'s not listed on the website? Although, saying that, adding the paint, leather and sat nav only brings it up to 25k, which seems like a good price to me :D

Cheers guys,

General Technical / UK spec vs Jap spec 3rd Gen RX7

looking on autotrader... aria motor company have a uk spec... whenever I\'ve checked they\'ve always seemed to be showing one or two...

Has anyone ever used them/heard any stories? I\'d like a UK spec when I get one just to save on insurance (if it\'s THAT much different)...

It was from Elephant.

I used a UK spec RX7, with 6k miles pa and as a second car. I also added my old man onto it as a named driver, he\'s 58 with IAM and all that...

I also put that it would be garaged and used for social only. I live in a band B postcode...

Hope that\'s of some use

Incidentally, tescos only want £1,627.50 and that\'s without the old man. Adding him brings it down to £1,509.90.

I can\'t recheck the quotes from elephant as their site is fcuked

When I put my age in as 21 on a UK model at Elephant, they quoted £1500... that was with 2 years no claims and 3 points.

I\'ve found a video of a 2nd gen RX7 (I think) and what looks like a skyline (can\'t tell, I\'m blind ;)) doing some serious drifting with eachother.

Stop it! You\'re making me want one even more and I\'ve still gotta wait another 14 months  :( :p

ah... good to see the student loan being put towards a proper use ;) :D :D

This isn\'t fair... where do you all get your insurance from... gits? ;)
