epracing have one.
else keep checking ebay as they come and go from a seller in china.

i had a shine auto one but was very flimsy structurally as it only had 2 surfaces and broke easily.
i bought one from china which is a solid wing but hollow inside. much stronger and cheaper.

you'll easily see 400 with that set up.

not a very technical reply but most people i know running big power use bosch 044.

i had 374bhp (fly) with bosch 044, 550cc pri, 1680 secondary inj which was more than enough fueling and the secondaries didnt even break a sweat.
you'll have the same amount of fueling as me so you'll be fine

Do these settings look right for running 550 primary, 1680 secondaries? More concerned why there no percentage figure for secondaries also latency figures. Any constructive input appreciated. Its ap engineering power FC for fc3s.

I agree the forum does seem bit quieter these days. When I first joined, it was very busy.

Maybe there's enough Info on the site to solve most common problems with rotaries? Developing internet where solutions can be found on other websites?

Makes me wonder, if all the old boys retire from rotary rebuild/ tuning eg super 7, RX motors, ReWorx etc then who will replace them as specialists? I've not come across any new tuners.

After lots of searching i've found the following but need confirmation from a more knowledgeable person if you'd be so kind

OEM primary & secondary inj: 550cc / latency .73msec
Bosch 1680cc inj / latency .45msec (@14v)

so the setting adjustment i need on the hand commander for the 1680's are:

To work out injector size correction
Old SIZE / New Size = Correction
550/1680*100 = 32.7%

To work out latency:
New Latency - Old Latency = Latency Correction
.45-.73 = -.28

If that is correct, then i now need to know which injector numbers these need to go into?

I've finally 90% sure i've sorted my smoking fc issue.

Now my Power FC was mapped on large street ports T04R size tub. It is now on stock ports after a rebuild with a BW S300 turbo.
I think a base map would be better than the remap as its running a bit rich.

I've found how to revert back to base map
[etc.] -> [All Data Init.]

From the base map, How do i set the secondary injectors to 1600cc (or were they 1680cc?) and how to calculate the latency for the larger injectors?
Are there any other settings i need to amend?

Setup:
BW S300 turbo
GM 3 Bar map sensor
Greddy compression tube
stock ports
FD AIT (i think)
stock primary 550cc
bosch 1600cc (or 1680cc) secondary
3" DP back, de-cat
AP Eng Power FC

I just need to make it less rich to help with MOT then as soon as its on the road i will be planning to get a proper map as engine has been run in now.

Hi fellow FC driver.

I hope you have the car on the road now, if not then..

1 - can use the high level brake light (if it has one) and re-wire a switch in there

2 - you can write 1300cc but the dvla will change it to 2400cc due to the roatary having 2 power strokes per revolution.

3 - fees and price should be on the form. sorry cant remember how much it was.

fill out the best you can then you\'ll most likely need the info from the SVA for co and hc readings etc.

cant remember what exactly was needed, else when you take car to be sva then they can send off for you also for a small fee. was a geed few years since i did this :/

my jdm fc has that too.

grinder: i changed my light unit (the one in the cluster that turns lights on) to a uk spec one and now when i flash the headlights do not pop up. so it seems to suggest the pop-up bit is all in that unit or at least is part of it?

General Technical / Smokey smokey cause?

Ok, had a play around today and after talking to few other people. I think i found the problem. Too much oil going to the turbo.

Its a borg warner s300 tub (new) with a -4 an oil feed. read on many forums -3 or -4 an is ok but seems this is too much on a rotary engine. Not sure how much the oil press differes from rotary or piston (namely supra forums i read they use -4, even fd\'s un the states run -4).

I took off the oil feed to the tub and stuck it down the oil filler neck to stop oil going to tub (not ideal as afraid of starving the tub of oil but risked it to try reduce the possibilities) and started car. some smoke (left over oil in tub from leaking bearings) and it smoked bit more on warmup then if blip the throttle more smoke (burning off residual oil) blue ish tint.

So ordered a 1mm restrictor from OZ and will try that and try burn off the residual oil and hopefully stop smoking but much better / less smoke with this trial method.

Vac lines ok though still need to do little more to tidy up a bit
