Rotary and General Chit-Chat / Satnav
« on: November 07, 2004, 03:09:26 PM »
Looking to get hold of a satnav system. Want it to be portable so I can use it between vehicles, (maybe bike use as well?), and also on foot. Have had a quick look around but whats the best way to go? Dedicated or hand held PC? Will also want it to cover europe as well as the UK down to street  level. Dont want to be spending mega bucks! Can they be used with postcodes? All advice and information gratefully recieved!!!

General Technical / Short shifter
« on: March 27, 2004, 01:58:26 PM »
Have just fitted a C\'s short shifter. Not quite as straight forward as the very basic diagrams made out, but hell, I done it!! However I cant get the boot off of the old lever, the bit that bolts to the tunnel. It seems to have a nylon ring around it and is very tight. Is there a simple way to get this off? Or do I have to cut the ring?? (ooh errr mrs!!)

Thanks,

General Technical / OK to start?
« on: March 21, 2004, 05:20:13 PM »
Will it be ok to drive the car back inot the garage, (slight uphill run so dont want to push it!!!), with out the throttle elbow connected? I know this means that the turbos are not pressurising the manifold so will this cock up the ECU settings? Only need to run it for a couple of minutes!! :-) Or would it be safer to wait till I get the throttle elbow back?
