Rotary and General Chit-Chat / Debut Novel Finally Out!!!
« on: February 15, 2013, 07:23:18 PM »
No problem, it really was a great book I wasn\'t just saying that because you wrote it.  I posted it up on Facebook too, one of my friends from Oz says they\'ve bought it now too  :)

Its not a big issue.  I think the danger is people would assume you are an american writer telling an English story, so any perceived inaccuracies could grate.

I think the armed response in the Police force are called CO19?  Or is that just the Met?  If CO19 is correct perhaps you could refer to him as CO19 Officer Murray?

Got a long train journey to do later, looking forward to getting stuck back into it  :)

About half way through and really enjoying it.  Would recommend to anyone.   My only criticism is the frequent referral to the police officer as  a "Trooper" even though the story is set in the UK, bugs me every time I read it!  :)

Yes I might stick it up on there.  There is some guy who wants to come and see it tomorrow.  He seems very keen and is coming a long way.  If he doesn\'t turn up I will do I think

Yes but that will cost money  :)    The dealer has already agreed to give me £9500 so just chucking it up on the forums to see if someone wants to benefit from it rather than lining the dealers pockets  (also hoping I can get some extras thrown in if I turn up with cash instead of a car to p/x :)  )

I\'m going to do my damnedest to do my bit to make this a special year for us Rotary owners, in particular for a certain couple.

Let me know your thoughts and I\'ll get going on it  :cheers

MRC and FDUK resolved this together some time ago    We back to sharing a stand again  :wiggle   Not sure why you feel it necessary to drag up a 2 month old thread and attempt to stir it all up again?!
